Education
CPR/AED and First Aid Training (ages 16+) – $100
Are you prepared to make a difference in case of an emergency? Our CPR/AED & First Aid class equips you with the essential skills and knowledge to be a lifesaver when it matters most. Whether you're a concerned parent, teacher, student, caregiver, or simply someone who wants to be better prepared, this class is your gateway to confidence in the face of adversity.

Cooking for one or two with ISU Extension (ages 18+) – $10
One and two-person households are the fastest-growing segment of the population. Learn to use MyPlate for meal planning and unpack our toolbox of tips for planning, shopping, and preparing well-balanced meals.

Rain Barrell Making Class (ages 18+) – $55
Come learn about water quality in Iowa and build your own rain barrel to do your part to reduce flooding and stormwater pollution on your property! All materials will be provided. The City of Urbandale does offer a rebate, and we will give you the forms to complete.

Bentley Ridge - Vegetable Garden 101 (ages 18+) – $13
Welcome to Bentley Ridge Tree Farm & Nursery What will you learn. Where to start planning, soil basics, what to plant in your space and when to plant it, how to care for your vegetables successfully, harvesting and next steps. Set expectations: simple, practical, no-pressure gardening.

Planning Ahead for Future Care with ISU Extension (ages 18+) – $10
Planning now allows you to make decisions about future care that are based on your wishes.

Final Arrangements with ISU Extension (ages 18+) – $10
Thinking about mortality—your own or that of a loved one—is difficult. Making final arrangements involves more than planning a funeral. Get information about funeral/burial options and costs and related Iowa laws. Use a pre-planning checklist to consider end-of-life decisions that can be made now and how to organize documents to help the living. Decisions after a death, Writing a letter of last instruction, and Declaration of a designee.

Elevate Golf - Senior Indoor Golf League (ages 50+) – $300
Join us at Elevation Golf Club for our new Senior Indoor Golf League! Each week, two‑person teams will compete in a fun 9‑hole scramble using our state‑of‑the‑art Trackman Golf Simulators. The league runs for 6 weeks and is perfect for golfers looking for a low‑impact, social, and weather‑proof way to play.

Beginner/Intermediate Mat Pilates (ages 16+) – $40-50
Join us for a refreshing and energizing mat Pilates class designed for all levels, especially beginners and those with some Pilates experience. Taught by Rhea Parekh, this class focuses on core strength, flexibility, and mindful movement all in a supportive, community-driven environment. Our goal is to make wellness reachable for everyone. Mats provided. You're welcome to bring your own if you prefer! Come as you are, and leave feeling stronger and more centered. Let's move together!

At any level, the benefits of yoga are the same-stronger muscular endurance, sharpened mental clarity, deeper flexibility, improved circulation and immunity and above all a heightened sense of well-being. Let yoga start you on a journey you can enjoy for a lifetime-body, mind and spirit! This Thursday evening class is for active individuals who are injury-free.

Please note – Drop-in registrations are LIMITED to 5 people per class date, so check availability and register before coming to class!

Discover your strength, flexibility, and balance while you learn to decrease stress through movement and relaxation. This class series is designed for the absolute beginner. In these Wednesday night classes, you will experience gentle warm-ups and receive step-by-step instructions for yoga postures and basic relaxation techniques. Your questions and interaction will be welcome. Whether your intention is to maintain wellness, seek a healing refuge from all of the business in your life, or learn how to grow personally or spiritually, now is the time to honor your intention. Please bring a yoga mat as well as a firm blanket or beach towel.
